I have a YouTube channel. A new one!
As a professional, I am always searching for new ideas, equipment and any updates on YouTube. That’s why I started following a few YouTubers and vloggers. Some of those guys are really, really good!!
So, I wanted to have a YouTube channel of my own but I needed a good idea of course. Something that would be interesting for people to watch and subscribe eventually ?
This is why I came up with the idea of timelapse videos. Since I walk around in Brussels very often, I thought that timelapse videos are an awesome way to show you this beautiful city:
The purpose, as you can imagine, is to make as many timelapse videos as possible in various spots in the city of Brussels (and then in Belgium, Greece, Europe, the whole planet….!!!!! ?) And not only spots or places. Shooting various activities (such as BBQing) is quite interesting as well. Trust me!
For the time being, I have uploaded a few timelapse videos. I have also uploaded a video titled “Brussels on Sunday” which is the video I participated with in a contest organized by the Public Stores in Athens, Greece. Last but not least, I have very recently uploaded a hyperlapse video which is my new challenge!!
For those not quite familiar with the terms:
According to our best friend, the Wikipedia : Time-lapse photography is a technique whereby the frequency at which film frames are captured (the frame rate) is much lower than that used to view the sequence. When played at normal speed, time appears to be moving faster and thus lapsing. For example, an image of a scene may be captured once every second, then played back at 30 frames per second; the result is an apparent 30 times speed increase. Time-lapse photography can be considered the opposite of high speed photography or slow motion. Hyperlapse is an exposure technique in time-lapse photography, in which the position of the camera is being changed between each exposure in order to create a tracking shot in timelapse sequences. In contrast to a simple motion timelapse – dolly shots, which are realized with short camera sliders; in hyperlapse photography, the camera is being moved through very long distances.
There you go!
